Cleanliness Drive
Gayatri Pariwar Nepal has been actively involved in various cleanliness initiatives in Nepal. It initiated the Bagmati cleaning campaign in collaboration with AWGP headquarter officials and volunteers on May 19, 2013, which remains active today. The Bagmati Cleaning Drive started at the sacred site of Pashupatinath in Nepal. Nearly 1,000 volunteers from Gayatri Pariwar were joined by Nepalese Army personnel and other social organizations based in Kathmandu making it a remarkable beginning.
Volunteers from AWGP Nepal regularly participate in village and city cleaning efforts. Over the past 13 years, through its extensive network of urban and rural centers and a broad volunteer base, Gayatri Pariwar has launched and sustained numerous cleanliness projects.
Their comprehensive campaign is divided into three major categories:
- River Cleaning Projects
- Pilgrimage Cleaning Drive
- Village and Urban Cleanliness and Awareness Campaign
These efforts highlight AWGP Nepal’s commitment to maintaining cleanliness and promoting environmental awareness in Nepal.
