Yug Nirman Yojana

The Yug Nirman Yojana (Construction of an Era Plan) is a comprehensive movement initiated by the Gayatri Pariwar to foster holistic development and transformation at personal, familial, and societal levels. The Yojana aims to create a more enlightened, harmonious, and progressive society by promoting ethical living, spiritual growth, and social responsibility.

Yug Nirman Satsankalp

At the core of the Yug Nirman Yojana is the Yug Nirman Satsankalp (Solemn Pledge), which outlines the fundamental principles and commitments that guide the movement. This pledge includes a series of declarations focusing on:

  1. Belief in Divine Presence and Justice: We firmly believe in the omnipresence of the Divine and the infallibility of divine justice. Therefore, we commit to following the essential disciplines of dharma.

  2. Body as a Temple: We will regard our body as a sacred temple and strive to maintain its health and vitality by practicing self-restraint, orderliness, and harmony in our daily lives.

  3. Mental Purity: To keep our minds free from negative thoughts and emotions, we will regularly study inspiring and uplifting literature (swadhyaya) and seek the company of wise and virtuous people (satsang).

  4. Self-Control: We will exercise strict control over our senses, thoughts, emotions, and the use of our time and resources.

  5. Social Responsibility: We see ourselves as integral parts of society and will work for the collective good.

  6. Moral Integrity: We will adhere to basic moral principles, refrain from wrongdoing, and fulfill our duties as responsible citizens committed to societal well-being.

  7. Virtuous Living: We will cultivate the virtues of wisdom, honesty, responsibility, and courage in our lives.

  8. Positive Environment: We will endeavor to create an environment of loving kindness, cleanliness, simplicity, and goodwill.

  9. Ethical Success: We prefer failure while upholding moral principles over success gained through unethical means.

  10. True Greatness: We will evaluate a person’s greatness not by their worldly success, talents, or riches, but by their righteous conduct and thoughts.

  11. Golden Rule: We will never treat others in ways we would not want to be treated ourselves.

  12. Mutual Respect: Interactions between men and women will be based on mutual respect and understanding, grounded in purity of thoughts and emotions.

  13. Contribution to Righteousness: We will regularly and sincerely contribute our time, talents, and resources to spreading nobility and righteousness.

  14. Wisdom over Tradition: We will prioritize discerning wisdom over blind adherence to traditions.

  15. Active Involvement: We will actively engage in uniting people of goodwill, resisting evil and injustice, and promoting a new era of creation.

  16. Commitment to Equality: We will uphold the principles of national unity and equality, ensuring no discrimination based on caste, creed, color, religion, region, language, or gender.

  17. Destiny and Transformation: We firmly believe that each person is the architect of their destiny. With this belief, we will strive to uplift and transform ourselves and assist others in doing so, confident that this will lead to a better world.

7 Movements of Gayatri Pariwar (Sapta Andolan)

The Sapt Andolan (Seven Movements) form the executive plans under the Yug Nirman Yojana, addressing specific areas of personal and social development:

  1. Sadhana (Self-Refinement) – Practices for personal growth and spiritual development.

  2. Education and Health – Initiatives to promote literacy, education, and health awareness.

  3. Self-Reliance – Programs to encourage economic independence and self-sufficiency.

  4. Women’s Empowerment and Awakening – Efforts to uplift and empower women through education and support.

  5. Environmental Protection – Activities to conserve nature and promote sustainable practices.

  6. Deliverance from Addictions – Campaigns to help individuals overcome addictions and lead healthier lives.

  7. Eradication of Evil Customs – Work to eliminate harmful traditions and promote progressive social norms.
